A The registration process is simple, fast and should only take a few minutes. You will be asked to fill out a short form which will ask you for basic information and require you to choose a password.

Q What does a student account entitle me to do?
A Your student account allows you to submit a student paper or papers to any problem found on the MATHmodels.org Website.

A Your password can be retrieved from the forgotten password page.

Q Who can submit a student paper to MATHmodels.org?
A Only a student can submit a student paper.

A You can search for problems by clicking on the tab located on the top of every page.

Q How many papers can I submit?
A There is no limit to the amount of student papers that you or your team can submit.

Q When I have found a problem to work on, how do I submit my student paper?

Q When I click on the Submit a Student Paper link I am asked for a Username & Password. Where do I find these?
A Your username is your email address and your password is the password you chose when you registered.

Q The Submit a Student Paper form has spots for up to four team members. Do we need to fill in the information for all four members?
A No, it is not necessary to fill in all four of the members' information but you must at least fill in the first member.

Q Can we have more than five members on our team?
A No, each team may consist of a maximum of five students. The contact person and four additional students.

Q Does each member of the team need to be registered to submit a student paper?
A No, only the contact person or lead member needs to be registered.

Q What type of files does MATHmodels.org accept?
A MATHmodels.org currently accepts papers in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
The file name must end with a .doc or .pdf (examples would be “sample.doc” or “sample.pdf”).

Q I have submitted a student paper, why can’t I see it on MATHmodels.org?
A MATHmodels.org is a moderated portal. All submissions are reviewed before they are posted to the site. Once they are approved the contact person will receive an E-mail notifying them that their paper is now available on the site.

Q I have submitted a student paper. How long before I receive a commentary?
A MATHmodels.org makes every effort to respond to student papers in a timely matter.
In most cases a mentor will provide commentary within a week of being posted on the MATHmodels.org Website.
Note: You will receive an Email notifying you that a commentary has been submitted for your paper.
